About Us

Freedom Gate Prosperity (FGP) is a civil society organisation established by a group of dedicated professionals in 2024. The Freedom Gate Prosperity (FGP) is registered as a not-for-profit company with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) as a not-for-profit company set up under Section 42 of the Companies Act, 2017. The Freedom Gate Prosperity (FGP) is guided by its Board of Directors, which comprises leaders from civil society. The Freedom Gate Prosperity (FGP) also benefits from the wisdom and advice of its Board of Advisors, drawn from various fields of life.  

The objectives for which the Company is established are as follows:

• To work for the socio-economic upliftment of citizens by providing training on employable skills, social skills, communication skills and overall capability enhancement to empower them economically and improve their quality of life.
• To work for the protection, conservation, rehabilitation and improvement of the environment through mass awareness programs, research activities, plantation drives and printing, and dissemination of Education and Communication materials.

We empower the citizens through:

• Well-designed training on socio-economic issues, green economy for their economic empowerment,
• By imparting skills necessary for the digital ecosystem, economy and entrepreneurship,
• Through evidence-based research on topics that impact socio-economic development in society,
• By maintaining a knowledge hub on socio-economic issues and themes, and
• By building bridges between the citizens and the relevant government departments, for the socio-economic uplift of citizens by providing policy recommendations.

Overview

Freedom Gate Prosperity (FGP) is a registered non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing socio-economic empowerment and environmental sustainability across Pakistan. Emerging from the legacy of Freedom Gate Pakistan, which began in partnership with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) in 2006, Freedom Gate Prosperity (FGP) carries forward a mission rooted in collaboration and civic engagement. Originally a platform for alumni of FNF's International Academy for Leadership (IAF), FGP has evolved into a dynamic, independent organisation tackling some of the most pressing challenges of our time.

Since its inception, FGP has organised hundreds of workshops, seminars, and community-driven initiatives that have empowered individuals, fostered democratic governance, and nurtured a culture of innovation, inclusive growth, and civic responsibility throughout Pakistan. In 2024, this legacy entered a new chapter with the formal transition to Freedom Gate Prosperity, officially registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). This shift marks a significant step toward institutional resilience, enabling us to scale our impact.

With a renewed strategic vision, FGP now focuses on two critical pillars: Economic Empowerment and Environmental Action, both of which are pivotal to Pakistan’s youth aspirations and the sustainability of its ecosystems. Drawing on the enduring values instilled by FNF, FGP remains dedicated to fostering transformative change while honouring its legacy of civic engagement and human development.

Strategic Focus Areas

Freedom Gate Prosperity (FGP) mainly works in two thematic areas:

1) Industry-Academia Collaboration & Youth Entrepreneurship

FGP is committed to empowering youth by merging theoretical knowledge with practical application and entrepreneurial insights. Our initiatives in this area include:

• Certified training sessions, seminars and capacity-building workshops of the change makers, youth, traders and business leaders
• Structured internships, mentorship programs, and immersive industry engagements.
• Business Incubation support for youth-led startups, green business and social enterprises.
• Digital business development and need-based skills tailored to the evolving needs of the economy

• Working with business leaders, financial change-makers, chambers of commerce, academia, government bodies, and international bodies on applied research and innovation aligned with global trends, 2

2) Environmental Protection, Conservation, and Awareness

FGP drives a green agenda by embedding sustainability into community consciousness and institutional frameworks. Our environmental efforts include:

• National awareness campaigns to promote eco-responsible behaviour.
• Research and advocacy focused on climate resilience and biodiversity protection.
• Afforestation drives community-based rewilding efforts.
• Training, awareness and policy dialogues on the environmental issues
• Rehabilitate degraded ecosystems through active local engagement.
• Development and dissemination of educational materials and toolkits.
