PNCU and Freedom Gate Prosperity Sign MoU to Advance Education, Skills, and Innovation in Pakistan

The Pakistan National Commission for UNESCO (PNCU) and Freedom Gate Prosperity (FGP) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 4th February 2026 to establish a structured collaboration framework to advance UNESCO-aligned priorities in Pakistan, with a focus on education, skills development, youth engagement, innovation, culture, digital citizenship, and knowledge partnerships

The MoU was formally signed in Islamabad by Mr. Aftab Muhammad Khan, Secretary General of the Pakistan National Commission for UNESCO, and Mr. Muhammad Anwar, Chief Executive Officer of Freedom Gate Prosperity. The signing ceremony was attended by colleagues from both organizations, including Mr. Raja Imran ul Haq and other PNCU team members, and Ms. Sabrina Shahzad Durrani and Dr. Shahbaz Tariq, who represented Freedom Gate Prosperity.

Through this partnership, PNCU and FGP will work together to design and implement collaborative initiatives that connect global standards with local realities. The cooperation aims to support inclusive development and knowledge-based social transformation by strengthening learning opportunities, promoting employability and future-readiness, and enabling young people to participate meaningfully in community and national development.

The collaboration also envisions joint efforts to promote responsible digital engagement and awareness, including media and information literacy and digital citizenship. In addition, the MoU provides space for knowledge partnerships to support research, dialogue, and evidence-informed approaches to social innovation and sustainable practices.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives emphasized the importance of coordinated programming and institutional partnerships that translate UNESCO’s values into practical, measurable outcomes. Both sides expressed confidence that this agreement will help create pathways for scalable initiatives that benefit communities, particularly youth and underserved groups, by building skills, fostering innovation, and improving access to knowledge.
