Unlocking Digital Media Potential: Freedom Gate Prosperity’s Transformative Workshop
In an era where digital media is reshaping journalism, Freedom Gate organized the "Untangle Your Media Potential" workshop on September 28-29, 2024, in Peshawar. This two-day event was designed to equip journalists and media students from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with cutting-edge digital tools and strategies to navigate the ever changing media landscape.
The workshop, moderated by renowned journalist Shiraz Hasnat and coordinated by Muhammad Anwar, provided hands-on training in digital content creation, mobile journalism, SEO, and monetization. Participants gained insights into crafting compelling social media projects, utilization of AI tools for content generation, and leveraging digital marketing to enhance engagement.
Day one featured interactive sessions on content creation, clickbait vs. quality thumbnails, effective hashtag use, and mobile journalism techniques. Ahmed Ali shared expert tips on shooting and editing, while discussions on SEO and AI tools empowered the attendees to optimize their reach. The day concluded with group activities, fostering collaboration and creative experimentation.
The second day consisted of participants revisiting key lessons in “Yesterday’s Click” before diving into strategies for pitching stories to international media. Sessions on digital marketing and monetization explored revenue-generating opportunities, while insights into international grants encouraged long-term sustainability. The event concluded with presentations, a certificate distribution ceremony, and networking opportunities.
